Mr. Peter McMullin has been Special Counsel at Cornwall Stodart Lawyers covering the Melbourne Area, Australia since 2008. He is also Vice President of CACCI.
His other current positions include: Founding Director of Australasian Dispute Resolution Centre Pty Ltd; Treasurer and Council Member at Australian Institute of International Affairs Victoria; Board Member of International Chamber of Commerce (Australia); Senior International Business Adviser to Minister for Foreign Affairs, Timor-Leste; Board Member of National Portrait Gallery, Canberra, Australia; Chair of Australian Chamber Alliance; Committee Member at Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority Audit Committee and Director at McMullin Group.
Mr. McMullin has wide experience in business, law, local government, philanthropy and the arts. He was Councilor and Deputy Lord Mayor at the City of Melbourne from 1996-1999, Chairman of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival from 2000-2008, Deputy President of the Museums Board of Victoria from 2000-2010, Board Member of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority from 2001-2006 and Councilor and Mayor at the City of Greater Geelong from 2004-2008.
He was also Board Member of the Melbourne Community Foundation (now Australian Communities Foundation), Board member of the Education Foundation (now Foundation for Young Australians), Member of the Commonwealth Refugee Review Tribunal and Member of the Victorian Residential Tenancies and Small Claims Tribunals (now VCAT).
Mr. McMullin is the Immediate Past President of the Geelong Art Gallery and has mentored the development of a Chamber of Commerce in Timor-Leste over the past five years. He is the Immediate Past President of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) and currently chairs the Trade and International Affairs Committee of Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).
Mr. McMullin received his primary education at Melbourne Grammar School and graduated from University of Melbourne.
